The purpose of this lay ministry is to lead people into a relationship with the

Lord Jesus Christ. As Christians we are called to witness the Gospel and to draw all people into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ through the transforming power of the Holy Spirit and the sacraments of the church.

I met Jesus on Saturday, 4/5/75, when a man named Jim Bullock with Ridgeview Baptist Church in Gainesville Florida, came to our apartment complex to share Christ. He showed me in the Bible where I had sinned and that all sin requires a payment to cleanse us from it. He showed me in the Bible where Jesus Christ had paid for my sin by shedding His blood and dying on a cross. I accepted the Lord as my Savior at 2:00 pm on that day.

The following Sunday, 4/13/75, I was baptized at Ridgeview Baptist. That afternoon after the baptism, I was riding my bike back to the church (I only lived six blocks from there.) As I was coming up to the church on the side street, I encountered this powerful, awesome presence. To this day I can still go right to the spot where it happened. This presence was so strong that I stopped my bike. I remember feeling so clean and free. The tears begin to flow that afternoon. There are no words in the human vocabulary to describe to this encounter with Christ that day.  I knew at that moment that He was mine and I was His forever. as a very intimate moment. Yes, there have been bad times when I have gotten my eyes off Him wondered off the path to the left or the right and sought my own way. He has always sought me out in these times. He tells us not to look to the left or right but to keep our eyes focused upon His face, and all will be well.

Remember this, if you had been the only person on this earth it would not change the fact that Christ would still have died and shed His blood for you. He tells us in the Bible

(2 Peter 3:9) that it is His will that NONE should perish, but that ALL should come to repentance. He intimately loves and cares for you more than you could ever know for us so much individually that He knows the number of hairs on our head - Luke 12:27.

There would not be enough computer bytes in this universe if I were to share all that He has done, and the grace He has extended to me since I have known Him.

To meet Jesus, begin by reading these scriptures in the Bible: Romans - 3:10, 3:23, 5:8, 5:12,6:23, 10:9&10. I John - 1:9. Revelation 3:20. Isaiah - 53:6. Then pray this prayer:  "Lord Jesus I come before you just as I am. I am sorry for my sins. I repent of my sins, please forgive me. I believe that you died on the cross and shed your blood for my sins. In your name I forgive all others for what they have done against me. I renounce Satan, the evil spirits and all their works. I give you my entire self, Lord Jesus, now and forever. I invite you into my life Jesus. I accept you as my Lord, God and Savior. Heal me, change me strengthen me in body soul and spirit. Come Lord Jesus, cover me with your Precious Blood and fill me with your Holy Spirit. Jesus, I love you, I praise you, I thank you and I shall follow you everyday of my life. Amen." If you prayed this prayer, please contact me and let me know of your decision. I would like to guide you on the next steps to take.
